Hinojosa EC/PK Center Participates in Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hinojosa-ECPK-Breast-Cancer-Awareness-Month-Pink-2The staff at Hinojosa EC/PK Center set out to show that you are never to young to raise breast cancer awareness.

Many of the teachers spoke to the early childhood/prekindergarten students about staying healthy and visiting the doctor.

Staff and students also worked together to raise awareness by participating in activities. Several teachers — Marcela Moreno, Crystal Albarrán and Mayra García — participated in the pink ribbon campaign. They had their students make pink ribbon necklaces.

“We wanted our students to understand the importance of staying healthy,” said García. “And by wearing pink, these young students helped support breast cancer awareness. We appreciate the support we received from our parents during the awareness campaign.”

Students from Moreno, Albarrán and García’s classes took part in forming a human pink ribbon.
