The Society for the Performing Arts announced the 25 winners of the 17th Annual Wells Fargo Student Art Contest. Among them are four students from Aldine ISD.
The annual art contest takes inspiration from the education residency program at SPA. The 2014-2015 program was [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Caravanserai: Malaysia. The program introduced American audiences to exciting and [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]dynamic artists of the Muslim world. It focused on the art and culture of Malaysia.
Historically, a caravanserai is a place where travelers exchanged stories. They also shared music, and culture after a long day’s journey across the desert.
