Grantham Academy Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness

The Panthers at [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Grantham Academy spent a week in October to “paws for a cause.” The magnet school chose to promote breast cancer awareness.

They wrapped up the week by hearing from one of their own. Cynthia Bosie-Colbert is a breast cancer survivor. Bosie-Colbert serves as an assistant principal at the campus. She stated that the key to survival is early detection and treatment.

Bosie-Colbert has been cancer free for 14 years.

Grantham Academy of Engineering has received recognition from [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Magnet Schools of America. The magnet campus earned a School of Excellence Award in 2006. Since 2004, the campus has received three MSA School of Distinction Awards.
