Home Depot on West Road beautifies grounds of Reed Academy
When Reed Academy students and staff returned to school on Aug. 22, they were welcomed by a newly landscaped front entry thanks to employees from the Home Depot on West Road and I-45. A handful of Home Depot employees spent a number of days beautifying the front grounds at Reed Academy. The store also donated $1,000 in landscaping materials. Volunteers laid new mulch in flowerbeds, installed new ground lighting, power washed sidewalks and performed other tasks.
Pictured with the volunteers is Reed Academy Principal Jeana Adams and Stacey Smith, Aldine ISD’s program director of resource development. Adams presented the volunteers with a certificate of appreciation. Chandanee Jagarauth, the associate support department supervisor for Home Depot, organized the undertaking.
