Aldine ISD Transportation is hiring bus drivers for the 2019-2020 school year and offering top dollar to make it happen. On Monday, June 24 the Aldine ISD Board of Trustees approved a starting salary of $17.65 for bus drivers as part of the district’s overall compensation plan and 2019-2020 budget.
“I’m grateful for the Board of Trustees and their support of all district employees including those who work in transportation. This increase makes us one of the highest paying transportation departments in the area,” said Dr. Jill Metcalfe, Aldine ISD transportation director. “This starting salary will allow us to attract quality employees who are vital to ensuring our students arrive at school safely and ready to learn.”
Throughout the month of July, the transportation department will host on-site job interviews and offer application assistance at each of the Aldine ISD Transportation locations. All new hires will receive free CDL training. No experience is required and the position offers paid training, flexible hours and free childcare.
If you have questions or are interested in applying please call 281-985-6192 or visit www.aldineisd.org/transportation.
Job interviews and application support meetings will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in July at each of the district’s transportation facilities. Sessions are scheduled for 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
