More than 3,600 people filled the M.O. Campbell Center for the Family Engagement Expo. The free event provided various family workshops, free books to build home libraries, uniform vouchers and backpacks filled with school supplies. Aldine ISD in partnership with Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia and BakerRipley were able to provide families with various resources to prepare for back-to-school. Community partners also provided families with free haircuts, on-site physical exams, immunizations and clinic vouchers. Those in attendance left the expo ready to take on a new school year.
