Aldine ISD students attend College Night

Hundreds of Aldine ISD middle and high school students gathered at the M.O. Campbell Education Center for the College Fair. The annual event provides students the opportunity to meet college representatives and collect information from universities, colleges, technical trade schools, and the U.S. military.

Representatives from more than 100 colleges, universities and armed services branches were available to discuss programs of study, financial aid, admission requirements, student services, student activities, and other topics. Attending a university is just one of the options for students after high school graduation. Other students may choose to take a different route, like the military or technical trade school.

Students and parents moved from table to table collecting brochures, college swag, and advice on application procedures and what post-grad could look like for them. Although the College Fair brings out many junior and senior high school students, there were many underclassmen browsing their future options. In addition to the colleges and universities, there were several scholarship organization and business booths.
