Hats off to the MacArthur Generals!

MacArthur High head football coach has led the Generals to their first playoff berth since 2007.

Coach Wayne Crawford’s team secured its first post-season berth since 2007 in the Class 6A state football playoffs with a 25-22 victory over Davis High on Friday, Nov. 1.

The Generals will face the top seed out of District 15-6A in bi-district the weekend of Nov. 15-16. Their opponent will be determined after Week 10’s results.

The Generals downed the Falcons behind two touchdown passes from quarterback Rashaun Jackson, one to Taylor Eaton and another to his brother Joshua. Running back Maurice Woods’ three-yard touchdown run with 11:55 left in the game turned out to be the game winner.

The Generals entered their season finale against Spring on Nov. 9 with a 5-4 season record and a 4-2 district record.
