Prescription cards are available for employees who have work related injuries. The prescription cards offer immediate authorization and no out of pocket expenses for injured employees.

The prescription cards are typically issued to the injured employee by the nurse in conjunction with the injured employee packet. The prescription cards are not found on-line.

The process is quite simple:

  1. The “First Fill” prescription card is given to the injured employee at the time the accident report is issued
  2. The injured employee completes the card and gives it to the pharmacist (list of participating pharmacies found on back of card)
  3. The First Fill card is temporary. The insurance company will send a permanent card through US mail, if needed.
