Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney and district leaders treated Blanson CTE High School students and staff to an ice cream celebration to recognize the campus for receiving six TEA STAAR distinctions. 

In their first year, Blanson CTE High School earned six distinctions including academic achievement in science, math, english and post-secondary readiness. During the celebration, members of the district leadership team served scoops of ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate toppings and more. Dr. Goffney also applauded the staff for their accomplishments and left them with a special cheer.

Blanson CTE High School gives Aldine ISD students an opportunity to gain valuable workforce skills, access to real-world experiences and career training in 17 programs of study. At the same time, students are earning industry-based certifications in several areas. The campus will graduate their first seniors in Spring of 2020.
