3 Aldine ISD High Schools Make Niche’s 2016 Rankings
The research site ranks more than 100,000 public and private schools across the country.

[dropcap color=”#888″ type=”square”]C[/dropcap]arver, Eisenhower and Victory Early College High Schools made [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Niche’s 2016 Rankings. The research site based the rankings on several factors including state test scores and college readiness.

Iván Delgado from Carver HS is currently taking part in a yearlong internship at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. The 2016 graduate will attend Texas A&M University.
[icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Victory Early College High School received an overall grade of “A.” The campus ranked 30th among the 100 Best Public High Schools in the Houston Metro area. In the state, Victory made the top 100 Best High Schools.
This is the third time Victory ECHS received an “A”.
[icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Carver High School received an academic grade of “B+”. The campus ranked 17th in Best Magnet High Schools in the Houston Metro area. [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Eisenhower High School received an academic grade of “B-” and ranked 23rd in the same category.
Eisenhower and Carver also made the list of Best Magnet High Schools in Texas. Carver ranked 47th while Ike ranked 55th.
The academics grade issued by Niche is the most important factor in the ranking. It carries a weight of 50 percent. Other factors include educational outcomes, demographics and survey responses.
Niche ranks more than 100,000 public and private schools based on dozens of statistics and 27 million opinions from 300,000 students and parents.
According to the [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Niche website, “it’s important to focus on more than just the number. Given the high number of schools included … there may not be a large gap between the 15th and 30th ranked schools in a ranking. In reality, both are exceptional schools when compared to the total population of all schools. Grades can often provide a greater context … of how each school or district performs compared to all other schools or districts included in the ranking.”

Eisenhower HS’ Grads Give Back event has alumni act as college advisors to current students. The annual event has become an Ike tradition and a part of its college-going culture.

Each K-12 school has a profile on Niche. This includes in-depth data containing reviews, test scores as well as parent and student polls. The district received an overall grade of “B-” based on school results.
